According to representatives of the Mushroom Union of the Russian Federation, this year could be a turning point for all mushroom pickers in the country - according to the results of 2019, members of the union and everyone involved in the “silent hunt” on an industrial scale can receive twice as many mushrooms than in 2018 .

Based on the statements of Anatoly Firsov, who is a member of the Greenhouses of Russia community, this year mushroom pickers in the country can get a total yield of up to 55 thousand tons.

Firsov shared this information with his colleagues and journalists at the international conference on the production of mushroom products.

If we turn to the data of the Federal State Statistics Service, which were published at the end of last year, in 2018 the production of mushrooms of various species was able to increase to 26 thousand tons. For clarity, we add that in 2017 mushroom pickers were able to produce only 16 thousand tons of products at domestic facilities.

Today, the culture of production and consumption of mushrooms in the Russian Federation is not the easiest, but interesting times of active development, but experts are convinced that this industry is very promising and can, with a skillful approach, bring the country's agriculture to a new level.

If the pace of development of the sphere of mushroom production will increase at the same pace as today, Russia has a high chance of reaching full self-sufficiency in mushrooms in a year.
