Danone has signed an agreement to reload Earthbound Farm, an organic salad company in the United States, to Taylor Farms.
California-based Earthbound, with annual sales of around $ 400 million in 2018, produces a range of organic salads, vegetables, and fresh fruits.
The deal was concluded five years after WhiteWave Foods bought the business for $ 600 million. Danone acquired WhiteWave in 2016. Danone said the deal is part of its “portfolio management and capital allocation optimization strategy."Taylor Farms, also based in California, has announced that Earthbound Farm will join its Taylor Farms retail group and boost sales in the organic fresh food category.
