Experts predict that the acreage for winter crops in Australia will increase by about 9% to 19.6 million hectares in 2019–2020.
According to forecasts for the main winter crops, the area sown with wheat will increase by 8% to about 11 million hectares.
According to forecasts for other crops, the area on which chickpeas are grown will increase by approximately 22% to 370 thousand ha, and the area on which oats are grown by 17% to 798 thousand ha.
