Ukraine successfully promotes its products in new markets, moving away from trade with Russia. The largest importers of products from Ukraine were the countries of Africa and Asia.
UNIAN analyzed the trends in Ukrainian food exports. The conclusion is this: over 4 years from the beginning of the war with Russia, Ukrainian producers managed to diversify the geographical structure of agricultural exports. Ukraine has left the market of the aggressor country and is successfully moving to the markets of other countries of the world, simultaneously creating business ties.
An example is the Avangard agricultural holding, which is the largest egg producer in the country. According to Oleg Bakhmatyuk, the owner of the company, foreign trade has shifted from the Russian market to countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong. Promising areas Oleg Bakhmatyuk also considers the markets of Singapore and another 20 countries in Africa. For the period 2014-2018 7 times increased the supply of Ukrainian food products to China, which is the largest indicator of growth in exports of agricultural products. Most willingly, China buys grain and sunflower oil in Ukraine.
The export of food products to Japan has grown significantly - from $ 741 thousand in 2014 to $ 76.9 million in 2018. Ukrainian products of fruit and vegetable processing, condensed milk and tobacco products are in great demand in Japan.Quite prestigious and priority for Ukraine remains the market of the EU countries. But here the consumer is more moody and pays much attention to the bright packaging of the product. Thus, Ukrainian manufacturers are faced with the question of marketing costs, which not all of them can afford.
