Police officers in the Kiev region identified a criminal group that carried out the illegal production of counterfeit plant protection products. It is reported by VK GUNP in the Kiev region.

The detainees made pesticides and agrochemicals in large quantities for further sale. Amateur chemists prepared plant protection products by mixing chemical elements.

After manufacturing, labels of popular foreign and domestic manufacturers of agricultural chemistry were pasted onto the resulting product. Counterfeit products were sold over the Internet under the guise of the original.

The group has been engaged in the handicraft production of plant protection products since the fall of 2018.

During the searches, police officers found and seized bottles and caps made of polypropylene, holograms and labels of popular Ukrainian and foreign chemical manufacturers for farmers, as well as equipment used in the illegal production of agrochemicals and pesticides and products ready for sale.

A pre-trial investigation is currently underway. A request is being prepared for the appointment of forensic examinations of the seized things and documents.
