Such information was made public by Oil World experts. Simultaneously with this European Union, foreign deliveries of the product were reduced by 38%.
Last year's main importers of rapeseed oil were Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. This was due to an increase in the production of seed crops in these countries and an increase in the production of rapeseed oil, as well as to the territorial proximity to the countries of the European Union.
It should be recalled that a net importer is a country that buys more of a certain product abroad than sells the same product abroad.
And rapeseed oil is a vegetable oil that is obtained from rapeseed. For a long time, due to the presence of toxins, it was considered technical, but thanks to the success of bioengineering, this problem was solved and rapeseed oil was transferred to the category of edible oils.
However, at present in the European Union and in several other countries the sale of crude (containing a large percentage of harmful erucic acid) rapeseed oil is prohibited.
