According to experts from Rosstat, in the Russian Federation for the second week in a row there has been an increase in prices for certain categories of products.
In particular, we are talking about the rise in price of vegetables from the so-called “borsch set”: white cabbage has become more expensive by 5.7%, tomatoes have increased in price by more than 2.5%, the increase in the cost of carrots has reached almost 3%.
It should also be noted that Russians today are somewhat more expensive than two weeks ago, an ordinary sandwich with sausage. And all because wheat flour for bread soared in price at half a percent, sausage “boiled milk”, butter and cheese went up by 0.3%.Prices for millet (almost 1.2%) and pasta (0.3%) also rose. Frozen fish and canned meat, as well as salt, are more expensive for the Russian consumer today.
At the same time, one cannot fail to note products for which prices have fallen somewhat. Here we can talk about reducing the cost of granulated sugar and vegetable oil from sunflower seeds. It is also advisable to talk about the cheapening of chicken meat and fresh greenhouse cucumbers of domestic production.Market analysts recall that on the eve of Easter weekend prices for most food categories will rise substantially. Price stabilization is predicted a week and a half after Easter.
