Over the past week, apples in Ukrainian markets have become significantly cheaper. On average, the cost of apples in the domestic market decreased by 13-21% per week.

An exception to the rule was only the Golden Delicious variety, the price of which fell by only 2%. But last week, the decline in prices was already 21%.
Similar processes are taking place in the markets of Poland and Moldova. Golden Delicious fruits have become cheaper in Poland. In Moldova, the same variety, along with Idared apples, fell in price by 17%. A completely different situation is observed in Georgia. Against the background of a small but stable demand, the apples of the most popular varieties “Idared” and “Golden Delishes” rose in price by 16% and 7%. At the same time, the Jonagold variety became cheaper.
The most expensive are Fuji apples. In Tajikistan, for $ 1 kg of fruits of this variety they ask for $ 1.7, while in Ukraine they can be bought for $ 0.29 / kg. For the Idared variety in Poland you will have to pay $ 0.13 / kg. In Russia, apples will cost $ 0.84 / kg.
Despite the rapid growth and expansion of export geography in Ukraine, Poland and Moldova, apple stocks within countries remain significant. The domestic market cannot absorb them, which leads to lower product prices.
