A tractor driver, depending on the implementation of the daily norm, can earn from forty to seventy thousand hryvnias per season in Ukraine.
These figures were shared by Natalya Romanenko, head of the human resources department of the UkrLandFarming group.
“It happens that tractor drivers can earn more than managers in some clusters. This is a fairly high level of salaries for people living in rural areas, but still the level of earnings in the agricultural sector on average in Ukraine is much lower than abroad, ”says Romanenko.
So, the average salary of domestic agricultural workers over the past month amounted to 11-17 thousand hryvnia.
At the same time, abroad - in terms of about 30-40 thousand hryvnias, that is, twice as much, Romanenko compares.
Earlier it was reported that agriculture in Ukraine is experiencing an acute shortage of workers. There is a lack of both simple workers and qualified specialists. One of the most sought-after professions in the agricultural sector of Ukraine is a tractor driver.
According to Natalia Romanenko, head of the human resources department at UkrLandFarming, Ukrainian youth are not interested in jobs in agriculture and the average age of current tractor drivers is more than 50 years.
