The owner of the apiary from the Romny district of the Sumy region came to the police with complaints about the actions of the local agricultural enterprise.
According to him, the farmers, without warning the beekeepers, carried out the processing of the fields with chemicals, which could lead to the death of insects in the apiary. This was reported by employees of the police communication department of the Sumy region.
A man owns an apiary in one of the settlements of the region, where it contains 20 bee families. During the morning inspection of the hives, he revealed many bodies of dead insects. The beekeeper believes that the bees died due to chemical poisoning by the fields of local agricultural enterprises.
It is reported that on the eve of late evening 2 local agricultural enterprises were indeed treated with pesticides in the soybean fields adjacent to the apiary. At the request of the staff of the competent authorities, the farmers presented all the documents and certificates, they say that substances that are safe for bees were used.
Now verification continues with the involvement of specialists from the relevant agricultural sectors, according to the results of which a procedural decision will be made.
Earlier it was reported about many cases of mass death of bees throughout Ukraine, in which beekeepers blame farmers.
