Employees of agricultural facilities of the Rostov region joined the large-scale grain harvesting process, which is now actively conducted in different parts of the Russian Federation.
Such information was shared by Vasily Golubev, the head of the administration of the Rostov region. The governor also emphasized that today twenty don districts are taking part in the harvesting campaign today.
And today, by joint efforts, the farmers of all these areas have managed to thresh over four hundred thousand tons of grain from one hundred and twenty-five thousand hectares of agricultural land.
Meanwhile, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation noted that at the moment the average yield on threshed Rostov fields was about thirty-three centners per hectare.
It is also important to note that the weather conditions that formed on the Don expanses allowed Rostov grain growers to start the harvesting campaign a week earlier than the date that was originally planned for the start.
And today it is known that until the end of the harvesting process, Don farmers will harvest grain and leguminous crops from fields whose total area exceeds three million hectares.
