Based on the information released by representatives of public relations of the Main Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor, the other day, authorized employees of the department sent a familiarization group to the Republic of Belarus.
The task of inspectors from the supervisory organization is to assess the production capabilities of local agricultural enterprises that specialize in growing apples.
The Rosselkhoznadzor noted that the business trip of the appraisers started on July 15, 2019 and will last five days. In addition to analyzing the capacities of apple producing companies, employees of the Russian supervisory authority will also appreciate how Belarusian producers ensure product traceability when exporting to the Russian Federation.
In parallel, an assessment will be made of the apple supply system with phytosanitary certificates.
It will not be superfluous to note that the conditions of the visit were agreed between representatives of both states during the meeting of leading experts of the Rosselkhoznadzor with employees of the Belarusian Main State Inspectorate for seed production, quarantine and plant protection.
The meeting was primarily dedicated to the possibility of lifting the ban on the import of Belarusian apples to the Russian Federation.
