Agricultural entrepreneurs of the Crimean peninsula admit that they experience certain difficulties in marketing their products to the world market.
Such information was shared by the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation: “The main obstacle to farmers from Crimea is the aggravated political situation around the peninsula,” said Sergey Katyrin. Speaking in particular, it can be noted that purchasers from Belarus, Kazakh retailers and representatives of other states refuse to purchase goods that are labeled “Made in Crimea”.
As a result, representatives of the Crimean agricultural production complex have to register their enterprises in other regions and regions of the Russian Federation in order to be able to market their products on the world market and increase their export potential. It should be noted that in the first half of 2018, agricultural producers of the Crimean peninsula were able to sell their products worth more than $ 15 million. The lion's share of goods was delivered to non-CIS markets. This is evidenced by data from Rosstat experts.
Further, imports fell to $ 28 million, a decrease of 14%, and most of the goods manufacturers and suppliers sent to neighboring countries. Today the situation is changing in a direction less favorable for Crimean manufacturers.
