On the territory of the Rostov region, two cases of a tick bite were immediately recorded, as a result of which the victims were infected with Crimean hemorrhagic fever. Alas, the doctors failed to save the lives of two victims of dangerous insects.
It should be noted that in the region since the beginning of the year, they have sought medical help because of tick bites of more than five thousand Rostovites.
Analyzing the information, representatives of the General Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor in the Rostov Region came to the conclusion that most often ticks attack those people who are involved in agricultural work.
So, in the risk zone there are farmers who work in the field among the vegetation, as well as pastoralists, milkmaids, shepherds and butchers who are in direct contact with animals - the favorite victims of ticks. Livestock and veterinarians can also be classified as high risk.
Experts recommend that you protect yourself as much as possible before leaving your home during an active tick attack in your area. First of all, in those places where there is a high chance of meeting a tick, you should wear tight clothes and shoes that cover the skin and hair.
It is important to inspect your belongings and shoes every twenty minutes for the detection of a tick and its timely elimination. And if the insect nevertheless sticks to your skin, you should promptly seek help from qualified medical specialists.
It is important to remember that the best way to protect yourself from contact with ticks is the timely use of preventive measures.
