The employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor are responsible for the implementation of professional tasks and have established themselves as a scrupulous department. Another proof of this is the fact that in the animal feed that Italian and German suppliers sent to the Russian market, potentially dangerous GMO components were discovered.
Thus, it turned out that in the feed products of enterprises such as Monge & C. S.p.A (Italy) and Interquell GmbH (Germany), experts of the Rosselkhoznadzor revealed genetically modified components that were not registered in any registry, as well as components that were not declared in the composition.
As a result, the supply of goods (feed for farm animals and feed additives) produced in the workshops of these two enterprises is prohibited for import into the territory of the Russian Federation from March 9 of this year.
Those products that were shipped to the Russian market prior to the discovery of GMO components would again be thoroughly tested. The same measures will be applied to feed products that will arrive in Russia until March 9.It is noted that a similar regime of enhanced quality control of products and their compliance with veterinary norms and sanitary standards of the Russian Federation will also affect goods from the Kazakh supplier of Iceberg-PV LLP: in the semi-finished products manufactured at this enterprise, Rosselkhoznadzor employees found an excess of the number of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms .
