The Dutch company GD Animal Health, which specializes in veterinary control and monitoring of animal health, is interested in developing regional cooperation programs with Ukraine, taking advantage of public-private partnerships.
This was discussed at a meeting of company representatives with the leadership of the State Food and Beverage Service of Ukraine.
Thus, representatives of GD Animal Health introduced Plexus herd health monitoring software for livestock complexes to reduce antibiotic use and actively monitor animal health.
According to the head of the State Food and Beverage Service Volodymyr Lapa, the issue of antimicrobial resistance for Ukraine is quite acute.
Therefore, the State Food and Beverage Service highly appreciates any opportunities for establishing productive cooperation, studying international experience and exchanging experience in ensuring animal health and effectively reducing the level of antibiotic use in Ukraine.
Vladimir Lara noted that further training of laboratory specialists, training of the business community and employees of veterinary hospitals through appropriate training programs is also important.
