The innovative type of potato, which, as part of the experiments, showed high resistance to decay, was shown to the world by the developers of unique varieties themselves - breeders of the Bashkir Agrarian University.
They managed to grow the tubers on a virus-free basis, as a result, several types of potatoes were produced, which are in no way infested by pests, various diseases and rot damage. New varieties have already been patented and received the name "Elena", "Birsky" and "Alekseevsky."
Note that the tubers of the "Elena" variety are distinguished by remarkable taste characteristics. As for the Birsky variety, its tubers contain an increased amount of starch.
If we talk about the variety "Alekseevsky", then it is best adapted to various climatic conditions. And all three varieties do not rot. Such information was shared with the public by the head of the development of new types of potatoes, professor of the Bashkir Agrarian University Rafael Ismagilov.
At the moment, scientists are actively planting new varieties in the ground for reproduction. It should be added that all three new varieties are characterized by high productivity.
But breeders from Bashkiria do not intend to rest on their laurels and are now starting to develop a new variety of potatoes with an increased level of vitamin C in the composition.
